How to compare two sellers before you order
Two gigs can look alike until you read what each package actually includes. Here is how to compare two sellers using what each gig shows, plus three questions in the chat.

In short
- Compare the package you would actually buy: what it includes, its delivery time and its revisions, not only the price.
- Use Compare to see up to 3 gigs side by side, and read recent reviews for the detail, not only the stars.
- The Our pick badge means: Chosen by SkillSellUp staff. Not a rating. Sellers cannot pay for it.
Read the packages, not only the price
Each gig offers its work in packages: Basic, Standard and Premium. Each package shows its price, its delivery time, the number of revisions and a list of what is included. Two gigs with the same starting price can include very different amounts of work.
Start from the package you would actually buy on each gig, then compare like with like:
- The deliverable: how many videos, clips, designs or pages, and how long or how large.
- The formats and files, for example a vertical and a wide version, or the source files if you need them.
- The extras that matter to you: captions, music, a subtitle file, a note on what was made with AI.
- Add-ons: some gigs offer optional extras at checkout, and they count only if you tick them.
Delivery time and revisions
Delivery time counts from when work starts, and work starts once your payment is confirmed and the gig's questions are answered. So the real question is: when can I send everything, and when do I need the result? Leave room for at least one round of changes.
Revisions are rounds of changes to the delivery, within the original brief. More rounds help when the work depends on taste, such as a logo or an edit. They do not make a vague brief clear, so a good brief still matters more than the number.
Reading reviews well
A review here can only be written by the buyer of a completed order, once per order. Some reviews come from a seller's past clients through a review link, and an administrator reads and approves each of those before it appears. A seller cannot edit or delete a review about them, and can reply once, in public.
- Read the words, not only the stars, and look for reviews of work like yours.
- Notice how recent the reviews are.
- Read the seller's replies, especially to criticism. A calm, specific reply tells you how they handle problems.
- A new seller with few reviews is not a bad sign on its own. Every seller here was approved by an administrator, and your payment is protected the same way.
Use Compare to see them side by side
Tick Compare on up to 3 gigs, then open the compare bar at the bottom of the screen. The compare page lines up each gig's packages, with the price, the delivery time, the revisions and what is included, as each seller wrote them, next to the seller's rating. You do not need an account, and the list is kept only in your own browser.
What the Our pick badge means
Some gigs carry the Our pick badge. It means exactly this: Chosen by SkillSellUp staff. Not a rating. Only a SkillSellUp administrator can set it. A seller cannot add it, remove it or pay for it.
Use it as one signal among others. A gig without the badge can be just as right for your job, so compare the packages and the reviews either way.
Ask three questions in the chat
Message both sellers from their gig pages before you order. Asking each one the same three questions makes the answers easy to compare.
Which package fits this, and what do you need from me?
Describe the job in two or three lines. A good answer names a package, or offers a custom offer, and lists what you must send.
What exactly will I receive, and what counts as a revision?
You want specifics: the files, the formats, the length or size, and how changes are handled.
Can you show me past work close to this, and what part you did?
Portfolio pieces help most when they match your kind of job and the seller is clear about their own role in them.
Notice how each seller answers as well as what they say: whether they read your message, ask a sensible question back, and are plain about what is not included. Keep the conversation in the chat. It hides phone numbers, email addresses and links, and payment protection only covers payments made on the site.
Before you order
- I have picked the package I would buy on each gig, not just looked at the starting price.
- I have compared what each package includes, its delivery time and its revisions.
- I have read recent reviews of similar work, and the seller's replies.
- I have asked both sellers the same three questions.
- I know Our pick means chosen by staff, not a rating.
- My brief, my files and my date are ready to send once I order.
Questions people ask
Is a gig with the Our pick badge better?
Not necessarily. Chosen by SkillSellUp staff. Not a rating. It is set by an administrator and cannot be bought. Compare the packages and the reviews for your own job either way.
Should I choose the cheapest package?
Only if it includes what you need. Compare what each package delivers, its delivery time and its revisions. A cheaper package that leaves out captions or a format you need can mean a second order later.
What if neither seller fits?
Post a request describing the job. Posting is free, and verified sellers can send you priced offers that you accept or decline.
Can I pay a seller directly instead?
No. Payment protection only covers payments made on the site, which is why the chat hides contact details. SkillSellUp adds no service fee at checkout.
How paying works on SkillSellUp
You pay SkillSellUp, never the seller. Your payment is held until you approve the delivery, or until it is accepted automatically after 3 days if you do not respond.
Every seller is approved by an administrator before their gigs go live. SkillSellUp adds no service fee at checkout.
Refunds are guaranteed under the written Refund Policy and paid by SkillSellUp, not left for the seller to agree to.
